Flower Power Bookmark, Headband or Bracelet


Spring is well on its way now and I have been working on a lovely kimono tunic to share with you all. My testers are currently working hard to make sure that the pattern will be faultless and understandable and I have to say... I can't wait to share this new design with you ;-)!

In the meantime, I feel some flower power bubbling up...

These lovely little bookmarks lighten up any book. The pattern also explains how to easily adjust them into a flower power headband or bracelet.

The flower itself is not my own design. I contacted the designer, Athina Oikonomi, and share her video tutorial with her permission. More about Athina’s free flower designs on her blog: Tinashandicraft.

What you will need:
• About 10 grms / 28 mtrs / 31 yds of light fingering yarn per bookmark (a bit more for a headband)
• Little ornamental button as the eye of the flower
• Needle to sew lace, button and flower together
• 2.5mm hook/C hook
• 3.5mm/E hook
• Optional in case of headband or bracelet: a snap fastener or hook-and-eye closure

Poncho Pattern Secret Paths and Hidden Daisies

This is my first big crochet project to share with you. Yay! It has a loving history, Let me tell you a little bit about it. Last December, I crocheted a beautiful shawl designed by Johanna Lindahl of Mijo Crochet . The shawl was called Secret Paths, and you can find the pattern here . I crocheted this shawl for my grandmother, who has just turned 92 years old. She is a wonderful inspiration in my life. A woman who knows how to move from adulthood to old age with grace, dignity and loving kindness. And it so happens that my grandmother loves pink! So I set out to collect some colours and made her the pink shawl. As these things go... I had yarn left and wondered what to do with it. Lotus Bud Stitch: A new stitch, Spa Set pattern, and video tutorial

I've been holding on for a little while to tell you about this new pattern release because I asked my lovely friend Tasha, over at Startdust Gold Crochet , if she would feel like making a video tutorial for my newly invented crochet stitch .
